Dr Ahmed Hanafy

Dr Ahmed Hanafy is an experienced Consultant Endocrinologist and Specialist Doctor in Diabetes and General Internal Medicine. He offers individualised, patient-centred care for patients managing a wide range of endocrine and metabolic conditions. Dr Hanafy believes in a holistic approach to healthcare, working closely with patients to create structured management plans that promote long-term well-being and independence.

Dr Hanafy earned his primary medical qualification (MB ChB) before pursuing extensive academic and postgraduate clinical training, earning both a Master of Science (MSc) and a Doctorate (PhD). He holds Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP London and MRCP UK). Furthermore, Dr Hanafy completed Higher Speciality Training in Endocrine, Diabetes and General Internal Medicine, subsequently obtaining his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and General Internal Medicine.

In his daily clinical practice, Dr Hanafy focuses on several specialised areas within endocrinology and metabolic health. His clinical interests include type 1 diabetes management and the clinical application of modern diabetes technology to optimise glucose monitoring.
