The Gynaecology Group

The Gynaecology Group brings together a team of highly qualified and experienced gynaecologists, providing treatments from leading private hospitals in Cheltenham, Gloucester, Bath and Worcester and consulting in a further two (Cirencester and Tetbury Hospitals). An expert private service is provided at a time and place convenient for the patient.

Expert diagnosis of benign and malignant gynaelogical conditions is available. These include ovarian, womb and cervical cancer. Common conditions that are treated include adhesions, ectopic pregnancy, endometriosis,fertility assessment, pelvic pain, fibroids, heavy or painful periods, incontinence, ovarian cysts, PMS, polycystic ovaries and post-menopausal bleeding. Urgent appointments are available within 48 hours of referral and where possible on the same day. Pelvic ultrasound is sometimes available during the first appointment.

All consultants are advanced level laparoscopic surgeons and routinely use this to perform procedures such as hysterectomy, myomectomy and complex endometriosis surgery. Procedures include colposcopy, cystoscopy, treatments for endometriosis, hysteroscopy, hysterectomy and prolapse surgery. There are also dedicated clinics for patients with pelvic pain or subfertility related to endometriosis and for menstrual disorders. The group works closely with other clinicians to ensure seamless ongoing care if needed.
