RTN Mental Health - Right To Choose

i have used rtn and they have always been very good i had my diagnosis yesturday and i am very pleased with the result thank you

Clinicians were professional, process and communication sometimes a little slow, but on the whole my experience was good.

My assessment was pleasant and informative.

Found everyone very friendly and professional. Good communication.

Daughter had her part of the assessment and it went very well.

Although there were technical Issues that meant I was waiting for 30 minutes for my online appointment before giving up, an alternative appointment was given later on the same day, the clinician was again very thorough, listened well and took my feelings into account when making his decision on my treatment. PLEASE NOTE:- There should be an option on the drop down selection menu for reasons for my appointment for ADHD medication titration - ‘mental health disorder medication’ is NOT an appropriate option - ADHD is NOT a ‘mental health disorder’ it is a neurodevelopmental difference. To call it a mental health disorder is NOT neuroaffirming as well as not being correct - it is not a mental health issue at all.

I went with RTN through the right to choose scheme. All my appointments were done online through a secure portal. Even though I struggle with technology, this was an easy process to use. Both people that I had to deal with remained very professional. Calming helpful. I couldn't ask for better service! I know I have more appointments to follow.

I had a video appointment for titration and the clinician never appeared even after waiting for half an hour. I ‘knocked on the door’ one minute before the start time. Waste of time and effort

The interactions with the professionals has been excellent. It’s a safe space and I have trust I’m in good hands. Whilst I understand the waiting lists, I read the news, I’m forgiving, but the lack of communication and expectation management really causes a lot of stress and worry. Remember we’re adhd people who are waiting, I’d appreciate more effort on this front. This will probably help the team deal with I can imagine a significant number of stressed people chasing

I felt i was able to tell how i felt with no worries and not under pressure to say how honest i felt and have been feeling over the years.
