RTN Mental Health - Right To Choose

Communication is not at all a strong point of RTN diagnostics. I was told, I , as-well as my designated persons had to fill in online questionnaires . It took several communications for the questionnaires to be sent out to them . My brother who was the main person and only relative RTN wanted to fill in my developmental questionnaire never has received any communications whatsoever despite them telling me they had sent it to him several times. One of the problems I faced was that I do not have any living relative or friend who knew me in childhood, apart from my brother, but he is 3 years younger than me, so in light of this I was instructed to fill in my background questionnaire myself , to the best of my ability as he would be less likely to know the answers. I was also requested to send in further evidence including a medical summary report , school reports and my personal symptom observations. I had school reports from juniors through to secondary school so I proceeded to send those in to the requesting email . This turned out to be wrong because when I chased it up they said it should have been sent to different department/email , and it had not been subsequently forwarded to them. I was not informed of the correct email previously. This obviously delayed and wasted time. Finally I was told that RTN had everything they needed to move forward with the assessment. Great. Loads of helpful information and really nice staff.

I was extremely nervous about this I am not very tech savvy and had to borrow a laptop . I really wasn’t sure it was all going to work. I do everything on my iPhone which I can do everything on. So wish I could do it on here. Anyway the end result I received was a relief to me.

I've had a really good experience of RTN. I was referred from my GP on 31/07/25 Got message to complete questionnaires within 24 hours of them recieving referral. Got my assessment booked and completed 13/11/2025 (date I picked) Had the second stage on 29/01/2026 to discuss diagnostic outcome and to discuss next steps. Really helpful, obviously could go down the medication path but was given some really helpful advice on support groups and what GPs can offer in addition or standalone. Really helped discuss and give me an understanding and made me feel valid, great rapport with both video meetings, made me feel comfortable and at ease. Please note that there was just over 8 weeks between first and second appointment (xmas period too) There is approx 8 weeks wait for diagnostic report and 12 weeks wait for medication appointment. But they inform you of this and I've had a really good experience with them.

Good provider through right to choose. Once the first appointment was completed, the reports and further appointment was down quite quickly after.

Highly professional, whenever I didn't understand a question, they always explained the meaning. I loved the support they provided throughout the consultation.
