The Maudsley name is internationally renowned for mental health innovation, thought leadership and outstanding clinical care. With history dating back to the foundation of Bethlem Royal Hospital in 1247, our organisation is the oldest psychiatric institution in the world.

Today, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is a leading NHS trust that provides the largest portfolio of specialist mental health services in the UK. The Trust is a founding member of King’s Health Partners, one of only six Academic Health Science Centres in the UK leading the translation of cutting edge research directly into innovative clinical practice. Many internationally recognised ‘gold standards’ of mental healthcare were developed  at the Maudsley.

Maudsley Private Care provides quick and easy access to the Maudsley’s expert clinicians, many of whom are at the forefront of research and training in their field. Put simply, Maudsley Private Care is here to provide very best care for families, young people and adults of all ages.

We offer services for patients either wishing to pay for their own private care, or coming through our insurance partner: GeoBlue, WPA and Allianz. We are in the process of registering with other medical insurance such as BUPA and AXA, this may be finalised within the coming months.

We also welcome self-funded overseas patients that would like to access our services virtually or in the UK.

Any profits generated from Maudsley Private Care are reinvested back into South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust to support NHS services and infrastructure.
