Really pleased to have chosen Fitzrovia for the birth of our son. We contemplated the Portland but due to complications in the delivery of my first child, we felt more comfortable giving birth in a setting with NHS hospital facilities available if needed. Room was comfortable, spacious and quiet. Midwife team were attentive, proactive and compassionate. Only downside was that there is no access to a birthing pool (though private bathroom with spacious shower facility which could be used during labour instead).

We had a low-risk pregnancy and had been happy with the antenatal care provided under the NHS but decided on private care from 32 weeks within the Fitzrovia Suite. All staff were incredibly caring, supportive and helpful. Everyone went out of their way to make our experience a positive one. After a vaginal delivery we ended up having to stay 2 nights longer than planned. The collaboration between the Fitzrovia Suite and the transitional care team in the neonatal ward of the NHS is second to none. Our extended stay also meant that I was able to access invaluable breastfeeding support under the NHS with a team who visited me in our private room on two occasions. A special shout out to the midwives who made our experience unforgettable – Sandra, Tasha, Lucy, and Maddie. Their care was outstanding and made us feel so supported which was particularly important as we have no family members in the UK. We can’t speak highly enough about our experience having our baby on the Fitzrovia Suite, we were very emotional when we were discharged!

Overall, I had a good experience at the Fitzrovia Suite. The midwives were supportive, kind, and readily available, providing good care following my c section. I was particularly grateful for the overnight support. The team helped look after my baby, ensuring I was able to get much-needed sleep and rest, which was invaluable for my recovery. However, The handover process between midwives during shift changes could be better managed, as there were some gaps in communication between team members. Additionally, the catering was fairly average and quite rigid in terms of meal timings and available options, which could be more flexible.

We couldn't have asked for a better team to take care of us during the few days we spent at Fitzrovia suite. Consultants, nurses, midwives, anaesthetic, theatre teams were very kind, understanding and caring with us. We felt so contained, supported and cared for. In the first days leading to birth and the few days after birth, we got to feel safe in a bubble or care thanks to all of you.

The labour and delivery environment here was excellent—clean, calm, and well-organised, which made a big difference to our overall experience. The midwives and nurses were highly professional, attentive, and compassionate, providing outstanding care and support throughout the process. We felt safe, reassured, and very well looked after at all times.

My experience at the Fitzrovia private maternity suite at UCLH was exceptional from start to finish. The room's were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and calm - exactly what you hope for during such an important emotional time. The food was genuinely excellent, with a great variety of choices, which made a real difference during recovery and long days on the ward. Most importantly, the staff were absolutely amazing. From the midwives and healthcare assistance to the catering team, every single person was kind, caring and professional. The midwives were extremely knowledgeable and always on hand to support and reassure, no matter the time of day. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. What truly stood out was the continuity of care even after discharge. The midwives remained available to support me with breastfeeding and post cesarean aftercare, which was invaluable and made me feel supported well beyond my stay. I cannot fault the Fitzrovia private maternity suite at UCLH. The standard of care, compassion, and attention to detail where outstanding, and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering private maternity to care.

Our stay at the Fitzrovia suite was amazing. The room was great, but what made our experience was the kindness of all the people working there. I would like to specifically thank Maddie, Aga, Sandra, Tessa and dr Chawla for everything they have done, it would not have been the same without them!

We chose Fitzrovia Suite as its part of big NHS hospital in case of any unexpected emergency, it made us feel comfortable being just 1 floor away in case anything happens. The team is wonderful and professional able to create a sense of safety and calm in those moments before and after birth. They were supportive during one of the most vulnerable and delicate experiences a woman can go through, offering practical tips, guidance, emotional support and truly personal care at any hour, for any question or request we had. Midwifes supported us looking after our baby so we can get some sleep waking us is time for feeds, meds and breastfeed support. The midwifes were also available on WhatsApp after the birth, which was incredibly helpful. There is so much information to process when you’re discharged home, and having the ability to ask follow-up questions and get quick clarifications made a huge difference for us. Facility itself is clean, catering is nice, rooms were comfortable, branded toiletries are provided -great experience.
