We had an excellent experience at Fitzrovia. We had very friendly and knowledgable midwifery care throughout, and we really appreciated having consistent care throughout our stay in hospital. The facilities are great both for the mum and partner, and it is very helpful to have easy access to food, drink and showers. We also appreciated access to specialist staff, such as the lactation consultant, and the offer of looking after our baby for a couple of hours overnight, to help us get some rest.

The entire Fitzrovia team — from the midwives to the kitchen staff — were absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for, almost like part of a family. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and positive as possible. Every interaction left us feeling more reassured, relaxed, and confident that we had made the right choice for the birth of our baby. The warmth, professionalism, and level of care we received throughout were truly exceptional. We’ll definitely be back for our next pregnancy.

Excellent, would 100% recommend. From the mid wives to the food, to the rooms, everything was amazing and made our special moment all the more special.

I made the decision to move my care to Dr. Shalini in my third trimester following a high-risk gestational diabetes diagnosis, and it was one of the best decisions I made. It was a particularly difficult and anxiety-filled final trimester, but from our very first meeting, she gave me an immediate sense of calm, confidence, and trust that I was in the best possible hands. She left absolutely no stone unturned - in addition to managing my GD, Dr. Shalini took the time to thoroughly answer every question my husband and I had, from delivery planning to postpartum care, even guiding how my husband could best support me (and covering things we hadn’t even thought to ask). Dr. Shalini monitored my blood sugar levels daily and was consistently present, responsive, and reassuring, whether over WhatsApp or in person. Her warmth, sense of humour, and genuinely personable nature made a huge difference, leaving us feeling more at ease after every appointment. Her judgement and expertise are truly exceptional. She made the call to induce me two weeks earlier than planned, and that timing was absolutely crucial to my baby’s health. Thanks to her instinct and skill, we are blessed with a healthy, happy baby girl. I feel incredibly grateful that she delivered my first baby and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone!

We were very happy with the care we received at Fitzrovia Suite. The midwives (in particular Sandra, Matai and Maddy) were *invaluable* those first couple of nights after our baby was born! The one piece of constructive feedback I would add is that the Fitzrovia suite should have its own operating theatre and NICU unit rather relying on the wider UCLH NHS facilities.

We only have positive things to say about the Fitzrovia Suite. The care and facilities were perfect. Everything was well organised. It felt like a safe and comfortable place to give birth to our baby.

Great experience at the Fitzrovia Suite. It’s a very tranquil and calm environment. The midwives were all excellent and offered me a lot of guidance and support during and after Labour. The consultant anaesthetist, John, was exceptional- very calm and made my labour very pleasant. The midwives looked after our baby following my Labour so I could recover and go home feeling fresh. The only downside is the food could be better (and where the Portland probably out performs Fitz)…but that wasn’t a deal breaker for us. Rooms very modern, spacious, and clean. Would highly recommend.

I recently stayed in the Fitzrovia Suite following a C-section. The level of care from the midwifery team was absolutely exceptional. The midwives were some of the most wonderful people I’ve met. They were so attentive, professional and incredibly kind. It made my transition into postpartum so much easier and I don’t think I would’ve been able to breastfeed etc in the way I’ve been able to had I not had their support. They provided a level of support that made my recovery so much smoother. The Fitzrovia Suite offers a calm, supportive environment and the team there is incredible. I cannot thank them enough for getting my journey into motherhood off to such a positive start.
