Abbeycare Gloucester

I spent three months at Abbeycare Gloucester, and I can honestly say it changed my life. When I arrived, I was struggling deeply with alcohol addiction and felt completely lost. The team here gave me the structure, support and belief that I desperately needed. Thanks to their programme, guidance and genuine care, I’ve been able to quit alcohol and start building a new life in sobriety. The staff are incredible, compassionate, professional and truly invested in every individual’s recovery. They don’t just treat addiction; they treat the person behind it. From group therapy to one-to-one support, everything is delivered with empathy and understanding. Abbeycare gave me the tools, mindset and confidence to move forward. I left stronger, healthier and hopeful about my future. If you’re struggling and thinking about getting help, this place can genuinely change your life like it did mine.

From a therapeutic perspective it was 10/10, I came in to solve an addiction problem and left solving a ‘me problem’ I learnt things about myself and about addiction that I never thought would be possible and genuinely believe I will live a fulfilled life in sobriety

My stay at Abbeycare Gloucester was exactly what I needed to aid my recovery. I arrived feeling hopeless and desperate. I felt safe and calm during my time here. The staff are so caring and understanding, while challenging the thinking and behaviors that got me here in the first place. This is my first time at Abbeycare but my 2nd time in rehab. Abbeycare is streets ahead of my previous experience. In that I left feeling more equipped to deal with life sober and supported. They have a strong aftercare program and community which I will use as part of my recovery journey. 10/10 from me. Rich W

I struggled at first but once I had understood the holistic approach to the programme, learned a great deal about the importance of describing feelings and expressing emotions.

I have had a very poor experience considering the amount of money charged. On my last day they actually ran out food and clients were advised to order takeaway food at their own expense. Coupled with w/ends with absolutely no activities apart from tv or playing pool.

Life-changing experience. The knowledge and treatment I’ve gained here is invaluable. The staff are fantastic, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable.
