Mr Bhagawati's treatment was excellent, I was frightened prior to the injections about the treatment and possible side effects, but this was not necessary as everything was smooth and with minor pain. My symptoms have now gone and I am no longer in pain. Thank you

I could not recommend Mr Mokawem enough after the treatment and care he has given me for my scoliosis. Every appointment we had, we are always approached with a reassuring and calm manner, and feeling fully informed on our possible options. We were meant to go ahead with surgery, yet after the Multi-Disciplinary Meeting took place, we were told that in my current position, they should not operate until further investigation had taken place. This just shows how incredible this team is, willing to postpone the surgery as something was not quite adding up. However, after thorough investigation, the surgery went ahead. He always left me choice throughout this process, listing all of the benefits and drawbacks of each stage. I was operated on at the RNOH, and almost every day, Mr Mokawem would come and see me. On around day 3, he came in and asked me if I wanted to stand and go for a short walk. I didn’t as this was one of the days I felt the most sore, but after some time chatting with him, he reassured me and supported me to push myself. I could not be more grateful for Mr Mokawem and his team’s care, and would highly recommend him to anyone! He has been hugely reassuring both to me and my parents.

I found Mr Rai to be very good , he explained the diagnosis, procedure, risks etc .He came before the surgery and afterwards making sure that everything was okay . He kept in touch and arranged for my follow up appointment. The only thing I would mention is that as I was self funding , a more detailed breakdown of the overall costs would have been helpful as I assumed that the appointment's after the surgery with Dr Rai would have been included in the Consultant fee .

He explained everything in a clear and understandable manner, which helped me feel reassured and empowered about my health. Dr Ibrahim didn't rush through the appointment and made sure I felt heard and understood every step of the way. I was very nervous about having an operation on my spine but Mr. Prezerakos's thorough explanation of my medical situation and how the operation would be conducted gave me the confidence to go ahead with the procedure. He didn't deny that there could be complications but his clear explanation helped me to realise that these were manageable risks and that the benefits outweighed the relatively minor chances of something not going to plan. The outcome has been incredible, whereas before the operation I could only walk a short distance without needing to rest because of the pain around my hips and thighs, I now have no pain whatsoever when walking and only minor discomfort around the incision wound, its just over 4 weeks since I had the operation and I'm confident that even that small discomfort will soon be a distant memory.
