When having neuro surgery you are totally in the hands of your Dr. Mr Pezerakos left me feeling totally confident in what he was doing. I never had any doubts about his skill or communication. It made me vow to be one of his best patients. I felt like I was. He even called me personally with scan news at 20:30 before a long weekend - just so I would have the news. He went above and beyond what I hoped for. I will and have recommended him.

I've had C5/C6 disk prolapse with root nerve compression. Pain in right arm 10/10, Neck/shoulder 8/10 and a lot of other symptoms. Even a max dose of morphine and other very strong pain killers weren't able to help me. The pain was crazy and no one at my local hospital cared about it. I was thinking even dentists somehow prioritize patients with pain, but my pain was much stronger than a toothache. My local hospital delayed all treatments - "let's wait and see" Eventually I've received steroid injection meant to be 75% successful but in my case it actually made it even worse! Soon after the injection so many parts of my body "started to stop" incl. more trouble with walking. Eventually I've received an appointment with Mr Prezerakos. Let's make it clear I was very grateful to get an appointment but after the appointment I've returned home with a lot of unanswered questions - from the perspective of time I know why - Mr Prezerakos got a team to do this and they are great answering all questions in pre-op operation assessment. Obviously spinal surgery that high (neck) has an associated risk and if something went wrong I could have no arm/leg movements or even worse. Having had a bad experience with my local hospital I have decided to go ahead with Mr. Prezerakos' treatment. All went well! I came to the hospital with 10/10 pain and after surgery the pain was 0/10! Yes - NO PAIN AT ALL - and movement is even better after op than before! Time in the hospital was 40 hours in my case. I'm only less than a week after surgery but can feel massive improvements! Surgery was done along with other members of Mr. Prezerakos' team but I've felt confident that they knew what is best for me extremely well and how to work very well. One more thing to mention that Mr Prezerakos is up to date with medicine - doesn't stick to old fashioned ACDF which restricts your movement. He has done an ACDR for me and I'm so grateful that it was done in his clinic. The wound is not crazy big and is healing very well - I have already received a follow-up plus an MRI appointment. I'm so grateful and so thankful to Mr Prezerakos himself and his team. One thing to add. If I would have known Mr Prezerakos 6 years ago (when all this started) and not heard locally that I'm too young to have that surgery - it would have saved me 6 years of living with pain (4 months of extreme pain) + tons of drugs and stress. One Indian Doctor told me "It's not that important where you gonna be - It's important who you are gonna see!" Many thanks from a Grateful Patient
