Mr Shyamalan was friendly, kind and made me feel at ease.

On the whole, a lovely consultant. The reason for the 4 stars was a very slight language barrier, and also explanation of surgery in recovery when still groggy from anaesthetic. Not his fault, just time restraints. Happy for him to perform surgery in the future, if needed?

Over time Mr Prasad has operated on both of my severe rotator cuff injuries. His bedside manner is impeccable being polite, respectful and committed to ensuring I understood every detail of my injuries and what he could and couldn’t repair. True to his word, he telephoned me 3 months after my last surgery to discuss pain and comfort levels, and the future, as I’m likely going to need a new left shoulder. It’s so comforting to have him as my surgeon. To know you’re in good hands makes the whole process less traumatic. I have forbidden him to ever retire! Wendy Drinkwater. May 2024

It was a very scary time for me and my husband but from the moment we met Dr Vaqas we felt reassured. He always explained everything so clearly and calmly and never made us feel rushed, answering all our many questions! We had every faith in him and knew we were in good hands! We would like to thank him for all he has done.

After a warning from the neurosurgeon & oncologist who had been monitoring the regrowth of my meningioma in September 2023 that it required surgery & as it was a second operation it was at high risk of stroke, bleeding, bone infection, going through old scar tissue, the tumour was pressing against a large vein. My daughter suggested I sought a second opinion, we chose Mr Shoakazemi who also specialises in my type of brain tumour.  He confirmed…the risks were very high indeed, the brain tumour had grown too big for fractionated radiotherapy and surgery through the old wound of some 20 + years ago was the only option. We found Mr Shoakazemi to be extremely approachable, professional, calm, warm & informative.  I feel incredibly lucky to have had the faith on a date said to be the unluckiest day in the yearly calendar …Friday 13th October to undergo surgery with such a gifted neurosurgeon. I am (thankfully to Mr Shoakazemi) walking straight, talking straight & feeling fully blessed.
