Dr Davagnanam was approachable, reassuring, calm and confident making me feel at ease throughout the process; before, during and after the procedure. His well mannered, personable and professional approach is conducive to a positive patient/doctor relationship. He maintained procedural updates; what he was doing/about to do, what I may feel, and continued to offer reassurance throughout the treatment. Dr. Griffin was knowledgeable, efficient and professional. Appointment was late starting but apologies were given and the quality of the consultation made up for this.

After a warning from the neurosurgeon & oncologist who had been monitoring the regrowth of my meningioma in September 2023 that it required surgery & as it was a second operation it was at high risk of stroke, bleeding, bone infection, going through old scar tissue, the tumour was pressing against a large vein. My daughter suggested I sought a second opinion, we chose Mr Shoakazemi who also specialises in my type of brain tumour.  He confirmed…the risks were very high indeed, the brain tumour had grown too big for fractionated radiotherapy and surgery through the old wound of some 20 + years ago was the only option. We found Mr Shoakazemi to be extremely approachable, professional, calm, warm & informative.  I feel incredibly lucky to have had the faith on a date said to be the unluckiest day in the yearly calendar …Friday 13th October to undergo surgery with such a gifted neurosurgeon. I am (thankfully to Mr Shoakazemi) walking straight, talking straight & feeling fully blessed.

He was warm, informative, supportive and caring. I have great confidence in him. He and Vas gave my family and I so much information and offered 24 hr contact to them should we have any concerns. Delightful men, both of them.
