I felt unheard and rushed throughout my initial consultation - Mr Shafafy was cold, and dismissive of issues I felt were relevant. I decided to see Mr Spink with my back problem after been told some 6 months prior that there was nothing that could be done apart from keeping my weight down. The pain was getting worse by the day and I had started to become incontenant, after explaining my symptoms and an examination he told me to pack a bag and go straight Hull Royal Imfirmary for emergency surgery. I cannot thank him enough it's early days yet it looks like my bladder and bowels have been saved he said I have cauda Equina Syndrome if left untreated the outlook is grim. Straight forward to the point

Mr Hamad’s communication skills are excellent, he explains all the procedures he may have to do in very understandable terms, and all the pro’s and con’s that go with it. In my case the herniated disc was quite severe and the epidural that he performed was a little tricky, but it was successful and I’m very pleased, and my sciatica pain is now nearly zero. Thank you Mr Hamad.

Mr Gummerson provided an excellent service, I couldn’t have asked for a more knowledgeable and comforting surgeon and my results are fantastic after only 6 weeks.
