Good bedside manner and very clear explanation

Amazing surgeon. She is totally dedicated. I’ve seen her working very long hours yet still find time to check on patients. You can see she cares. She is very straight talking and has a lovely sense of humour to take the edge of her strict instructions. She performed tricky lung surgery with minimum trauma. She is a credit to Hammersmith Hospital.

Couldn’t fault the exceptional standards of care and explanation given by Mr Mukherjee from initial consultation, in surgery and follow up care.

I could not recommend Mr Mokawem enough after the treatment and care he has given me for my scoliosis. Every appointment we had, we are always approached with a reassuring and calm manner, and feeling fully informed on our possible options. We were meant to go ahead with surgery, yet after the Multi-Disciplinary Meeting took place, we were told that in my current position, they should not operate until further investigation had taken place. This just shows how incredible this team is, willing to postpone the surgery as something was not quite adding up. However, after thorough investigation, the surgery went ahead. He always left me choice throughout this process, listing all of the benefits and drawbacks of each stage. I was operated on at the RNOH, and almost every day, Mr Mokawem would come and see me. On around day 3, he came in and asked me if I wanted to stand and go for a short walk. I didn’t as this was one of the days I felt the most sore, but after some time chatting with him, he reassured me and supported me to push myself. I could not be more grateful for Mr Mokawem and his team’s care, and would highly recommend him to anyone! He has been hugely reassuring both to me and my parents.

Simon was extremely personable, attentive and empathetic to our situation after hearing about our experience in having to take our baby to A&E. He made us feel at ease throughout the whole process and never rushed his consultations. We are extremely grateful to Simon for making it such a stress free and successful experience, given that my husband and were very anxious about the hernia surgery.

Excellent explanation and advice from start to finish

I can’t recommend Mr Trikha enough to anyone planning surgery for Torn cartilage in the knee joint including meniscal tear or any other surgery for that matter. I was apprehensive as this was my first ever surgery but he reassured me and thoroughly explained the procedure and outcome which made me feel at ease. It’s been two weeks now since my surgery and my knee feels amazing and I can’t thank Mr Trikha enough - you are a super star in my eyes.
