We gave careful consideration and research in choosing the right surgeon from a long list to replace my hip, and Mr Allen certainly ticked all the right boxes of our requirements. Our initial consultation confirmed that we had indeed made the correct decision. Mr Allen has a very down to earth, friendly, yet professional manner, listening to what I had to say, before addressing any questions, then explaining in a straightforward way the process of the operation. My surgery went according to plan and compared to previous joint replacements by other surgeons, I had minimal bruising and little discomfort. I was out of hospital two days later walking with just the aid of a stick. Within four weeks I was able to walk five miles, again with just the aid of a walking stick should I have required it for reassurance and my wound had healed well. Mr Allen’s post operative care was exemplary and I certainly have no hesitation in recommending him if you require surgery.

Top class. Very thorough, explained exactly what the process would be. He was very patient when I had to cancel the operation, twice, for some cardiology problems. On the day itself for the operation he was very helpful and the procedure was very speedy and very professional. His communication at every stage was excellent and very informative and quick. I can't fault him for anything!
