We gave careful consideration and research in choosing the right surgeon from a long list to replace my hip, and Mr Allen certainly ticked all the right boxes of our requirements. Mr Allen has a very down to earth, friendly, yet professional manner, listening to what I had to say, before addressing any questions, then explaining in a straightforward way the process of the operation. My surgery went according to plan and compared to previous joint replacements by other surgeons, I had minimal bruising and little discomfort. I was out of hospital two days later walking with just the aid of a stick. Within four weeks I was able to walk five miles, again with just the aid of a walking stick should I have required it for reassurance and my wound had healed well. Mr Allen’s post operative care was exemplary and I certainly have no hesitation in recommending him if you require surgery.
