Entering the lady at reception says straight down the corridor to room 6. Door at the end of the corridor says waiting room 3 so I go back and ask and she says yes. Going in, room 6 says do not disturb. But I’m wondering if it’s been left like that by accident. There’s the sound of wind playing but no sign explaining why so I spend a few minutes trying to figure out if it’s wind or a speaker. This could be handled by explaining clearly where to go and what will happen - particularly important to people who are neurodivergent, which is why I’m here. I’m anxious enough without extra cognitive load. She could say “Straight down the corridor into waiting room 3, the doctor is in room 6. If it shows do not disturb then wait and he’ll be with you shortly. There’s a speaker playing wind sounds to try to put you at ease.”

My experience of rTMS has been no less than remarkable. Suffering from depression since the age of 17, and now in my 50's, I wish this treatment had been available in my youth. The fogginess is GONE. Dr Bloomfield is great to work with. He and his staff are all extremely kind and friendly. With their help I have managed to regain my life. I have always been supported when needed. And when in crisis have had the best help anyone could wish. Without this experience I would not be enjoying life in the way I am capable now.
