I found Mr N Patel to be very informative, who explained every step of my assessment and ultimately my spinal operation, throughout my time with him. He was very approachable, who when I had any questions or concerns, was very professional in his responses, as such to be able to reassure me or put mind mind at ease. Compared to other Surgeons who I have had experiences with, I also found him to be be very down to earth, which made my whole experience far easier to deal with, as it was like dealing with a individual who had known me for some time.

I didn’t leave feeling as though my health issue was any further forward in being diagnosed or treated. I was told I had an enlarged artery and a second opinion would be required - creases chance of stroke. This was several months ago and heard nothing despite asking twice by email what the follow up was. I waited several months for the appointment in the first place, delayed because the referral had been ‘forgotten about’.

With reference to the consultation, dismissive of symptoms and inaccuracies with scan? Was reviewing a scan from 2018 not 2024. Felt patronised and humiliated by general attitude. Was not interested in symptoms or effects on daily life. Summary letter sent to myself and GP reflected the above. Interestingly letter had wrong address and I was referred to by the wrong name in the letter? As an NHS staff nurse I feel sorry that this kind of poor service exists.
