I could not recommend Mr Mokawem enough after the treatment and care he has given me for my scoliosis. Every appointment we had, we are always approached with a reassuring and calm manner, and feeling fully informed on our possible options. We were meant to go ahead with surgery, yet after the Multi-Disciplinary Meeting took place, we were told that in my current position, they should not operate until further investigation had taken place. This just shows how incredible this team is, willing to postpone the surgery as something was not quite adding up. However, after thorough investigation, the surgery went ahead. He always left me choice throughout this process, listing all of the benefits and drawbacks of each stage. I was operated on at the RNOH, and almost every day, Mr Mokawem would come and see me. On around day 3, he came in and asked me if I wanted to stand and go for a short walk. I didn’t as this was one of the days I felt the most sore, but after some time chatting with him, he reassured me and supported me to push myself. I could not be more grateful for Mr Mokawem and his team’s care, and would highly recommend him to anyone! He has been hugely reassuring both to me and my parents.

Overall I had a very positive experience with Dr Lui. He was clear, explained the science behind what was causing me issues and very rational with respect to his recommendations. He made me feel very comfortable in understanding where the problem originated from and recommendations of treatment.

Mr Sayal is an excellent communicator and takes the time and trouble not only to explain the medical condition clearly but to set out options and likely outcomes to enable the patient to make an informed decision. He is both professional and caring.

Mr Bassi gave me the confidence to proceed with the procedure and the results of the procedure I could expect from it.

I visited Mr Aylott's 'One Stop' clinic in Cheltenham following a recommendation from a friend which was supported by others who knew of him. After a consultation and MRI scan I was given a clear diagnosis with options for treatment of the disc herniation which had been causing sciatic pain over an 11 year period. I had complete confidence in Mr Aylott's expertise in spine issues and appreciated his clear and sound explanations. I opted for surgery and Mr Aylott performed a microdiscectomy on me just 3 weeks later at the London Spine Unit, Harley Street. I was admitted at 8.15am and walked out of the hospital at 3.15pm the same day feeling amazingly well. Now six weeks on from my surgery I have no more sciatic or back pain and at 74 feel fit and mobile once again. I have several friends who have back issues and have naturally recommended him to them.

Mr Kazzaz made me feel reasured pre and post op. He explained what was needed to be and the procedure clearly so as I understood. He listened and explained questions I wanted to know with a good and happy manner

Dr. Yeh is is very patient person and tried his best to explain to me what my problem was and what would be the best solution for me. Everything was very clear after my second visit. He was also very professional in terms of what tests need to be done to identify the real problem causing my backpain. After seeing the results, referred me to a very good specialist for physical therapy. He is following up with me on a regular basis to make sure that I am getting better and my treatment goes well. Mr Rajiv Bajekal is simply a life saver! I came to him in a wheelchair and I walked out on my legs. I had sciatica for over 8 months and was let down seriously by NHS at the GP’s Surgery that I have been using for over 20years. I am a Nurse/Midwife and a strong advocate of NHS! I felt unheard and rushed throughout my initial consultation - Mr Shafafy was cold, and dismissive of issues I felt were relevant. I had the same experience during a follow up appointment and left feeling like i had wasted his time, when i had come to see him about an issue i was very concerned about.
