I had my right hip replaced in November 22 and my left hip replaced March 24, both by Mr Unnithan. Everything was thoroughly explained to me including the risks of surgery. Also the care of all the staff at Ashford Hospital, Dickinson ward was excellent.

Mr Yousaf was prepared to take on my surgery, from a very bad motocross accident, that other surgeons weren’t. I had a complete break to my tibia & fibula with an external fixation. It’s taken a long time to start healing but I’m finally walking & I can’t thank Mr Yousaf enough for his skill in fixing me!

A very knowledgeable and approachable surgeon, however it was quite disappointing that my concerns regarding the ongoing knee instability following the ACL reconstruction surgery he performed hadn’t been taken into account in a timely manner. I had to seek an opinion from another consultant, who arranged the MRI and other appropriate tests, and confirmed that the surgery wasn’t completely successful.

I have had private medical care all my life and this is probably the worst experience I have ever had. He runs late, he goes off on tangents, doesn’t concentrate on what he is being asked by the referring doctor but worst of all you are conned into a second appointment to supposedly get the results that he was going to look into and unsurprisingly he has forgotten to do so! He is the most expensive consultant I have ever come across by a long way.
