A very knowledgeable and approachable surgeon, however it was quite disappointing that my concerns regarding the ongoing knee instability following the ACL reconstruction surgery he performed hadn’t been taken into account in a timely manner. I had to seek an opinion from another consultant, who arranged the MRI and other appropriate tests, and confirmed that the surgery wasn’t completely successful.

I recently saw Mr Khan for patella tendinopathy. From start to finish he was professional and reassuring. He explained the condition and the options available to me, listened to my concerns and ultimately put my mind at ease. I loved the diagrams he drew and how he pointed out the problem on the MRI scan. I came away feeling that really knew what was happening inside my body and what I needed to do to get back on track. I went to Mr Osama Aweid with knee pain and he listened to me carefully. He then explained all the options that were available in detail, including a knee replacement surgery. When I chose to have the surgery he was very supportive. The operation went very well and my recovery was very good. He is an excellent person as well as an excellent consultant. I learnt 50pct of information regarding my diagnosis through questions rather than having it explained in full straight off. Perhaps he assumed I had more medical knowledge than I do. He was very pleasant though.
