I went to see mr Sood after having a very unsuccessful partial knee replacement which left me with an unstable knee and unable to walk properly. Not by him I should add , He completely understood my situation and put my mind to rest that he would be able to get me sorted with a full knee replacement he explained exactly what would happen I felt completely confident that he would get the result I was hoping for and he did ! I am now walking normally and back working full time as a builder with no issues. I would absolutely recommend mr Sood. It has been life changing for me

I thought Mr Dowen was very friendly and an extremely skilful surgeon. My experience with him during the surgery was extremely positive, with him leading the team very well. My only slightly negative comment would be about my initial consultation with him. His preference was not to add me to the waiting list for the operation but to control with pain relief. Waiting 18 months for the operation meant that the pain became progressively far worse and by the time of the operation, I was in near constant pain. If I had had to join the waiting list a lot later, my life would have been massively affected. Whilst it is with the advantage of hindsight but the length of the waiting list should be taken into account when making this type of decision.

I had high tibial osteotomy knee surgery performed by Mr Amit Shah at the Spire Hospital Blackpool in May 2023, Mr Shah is a brilliant surgeon and the procedure has been a huge success for me, and it has prevented me having a full knee replacement. One year on I am now walking around 12/15 K a day with my dog, previously it would have only been around 3K and then the pain would get to much for me, I would encourage anyone who is offered this as an alternative to a new Knee to go for it, the future benefits are well worth it 👍.
