My experience with Dr Abdalla has been fantastic. She is friendly and personable and I quickly felt like I could trust her. She clearly explained my condition and proposed treatment and always took time to answer any questions I had. I am happy with the results of my surgery so far. I highly recommend Dr Abdalla and would be happy to be treated by her in the future if needed.

Simon was extremely personable, attentive and empathetic to our situation after hearing about our experience in having to take our baby to A&E. He made us feel at ease throughout the whole process and never rushed his consultations. We are extremely grateful to Simon for making it such a stress free and successful experience, given that my husband and were very anxious about the hernia surgery.

The reason I chose Dr Rama was that he worked at a top London NHS hospital, Kings College, as well as doing private work. When I first met him, I found him easy to talk to, informative and I could ask him anything. Straight away I felt confident that he was the right person to do this operation for me. Before you have the operation Dr. Rama put me in touch with a dietitian (Kate Walker). I had two meetings with Kate who gave me a pre-op diet to follow, a post-op diet and six weeks after the operation I could start eating normally again. Two weeks before I had the operation, I was given a pre-op. It was discovered that I had very high blood pressure. I made an appointment with my GP and was put on blood pressure tablets and the anesthetist was informed. By the time I had the operation my blood pressure came down to a safe level. I arrived at Blackheath hospital at 7:00am in the morning and Dr Rama came to see me and went through the procedure. I had the operation at around 11.00am. I started to arouse as soon as I came back to the ward but was very dozy, I slept most of the day. The following morning, I woke up at around 4:00am and with the help of a very nice nurse I got out of bed and went for a walk. To my surprise I felt fine and not in any pain. However, I did have about five little cuts on my stomach which have healed well. After two weeks I felt back to normal. I had the operation on the 6 July 2023 and weighed 16.11 stone. I now weigh 12 stone (15 May) and by the time a year is up I should have lost 6 stone. I feel amazing, I am no longer pre-diabetic and a paramedic at my GP’s surgery is looking into taking me off my blood pressure tablets as I’m now in the normal range. My asthma is much better too. Dr Rama was fantastic, he looked after me so well and I have no hesitation in recommending him. He gave me his mobile telephone number and I know I can contact him anytime, which is very reassuring. I’ve had two follow up appointments with him and was given a blood test to make sure everything was ok. I have not felt this well in a long time, just wish I had this procedure years ago. Thank-you Dr Rama, you have changed my life.

My gallbladder was full of stones and needed to be removed to reduce risk of pancreatitis. AXA had referred me yet again to a consultant who was not a surgeon. I would have had to call AXA and have another appointment with a surgeon but Dr Vasilikostas fitted me in after his clinic finished and scheduled me for surgery within two weeks. He was kind, reassuring and professional.

Mr. Kumar was excellent from first meeting through to post operation. His thorough review of my inguinal hernia area, explanation of the best procedure requirements, operation and recovery time lines, including possible complications, ensured that I had the utmost confidence going forward with the repair. This was further enhanced through a CT scan which enabled Mr. Kumar to fully understand the extend of the repair required and how he would undertake the procedure. Indeed his diligence discovered a second smaller hernia also requiring a repair, as well as other minor issues with kidney cysts and liver. On the day of the operation Mr. Kumar again went through the operation prior to entering theatre, and returned to my bedside post operation to advise on the procedures success. All in all I received the best experience I could have wished for from Mr. Kumar.

I was recently under the care of Dr Tsironis while recovering from abdominal surgery. His visits each morning kept me informed of how I was doing, but it was at the follow up appointment once I had been discharged that he really took the time to explain my condition to me. I asked endless questions and he really helped me to get a grasp on what had happened to me by showing diagrams of the anatomy, explaining to me so that I could understand. He put me at ease and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him.

Dr Dawas has proven to be very professional thus abiding with all regulations and patient confidentiality. More so, Dr Dawas and certainly was offering great medical advice.
