Dr Umer Butt

Dr. Umer Butt is a UK Board-certified Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years of experience across multiple institutions in the United Kingdom. Now practising in Dubai, he specialises in Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, bringing extensive expertise in joint preservation surgery. His proficiency includes performing partial knee replacements, kneecap replacements, osteotomies, arthroscopic multi-ligament reconstructions, meniscal scaffolds, and cartilage transplants.

Dr. Butt has a particular interest in meniscal transplants, arthroscopic shoulder stabilisation, cuff repairs, acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) reconstruction, and shoulder replacements. His commitment to advancing orthopaedic surgery is reflected in his leadership roles. He is the Chairman of the SICOT Sports Committee and the Chairman of the Knee Meeting. Furthermore, he plays a key role in medical education, serving as the Director-Supervisor of the Arthroscopy Fellowship Programme at SICOT.
