About Dr. Taher Ali
Dr. Taher Mohamed Ali is a Specialist Neurosurgeon at Al Zahra Hospital, Dubai, with over 12 years of experience in brain and spine surgery for both adults and children. He earned his MBBCh (Honours), Master’s, and Doctorate degrees in Neurosurgery from Cairo University, where he also served as a Lecturer and Consultant Neurosurgeon at Cairo University Hospitals and leading private medical centres in Egypt.
Dr. Taher has completed advanced international training, including a Neuro-Endoscopy Fellowship in Greifswald, Germany, and the AO Global Spine Diploma in Davos, Switzerland. He has also undertaken additional fellowships and specialised courses across several renowned German hospitals, further developing his expertise in modern neurosurgical techniques.
Before joining Al Zahra Hospital, Dr. Taher worked as a Neurosurgeon at Tawam Hospital and Sheikh Tahnoun Medical City (STMC) in the UAE. His clinical practice covers a broad range of neurosurgical procedures, with specialisation in minimally invasive spine surgery, robotic and endoscopic techniques, brain and pituitary tumour surgery, spinal tumours, head and spine trauma, and paediatric neurosurgery.
An active contributor to academic research, Dr. Taher has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and serves as a reviewer for several leading international neurosurgical publications.
