Dr. Khalid Chishti after completing his general surgery training in the UK and obtaining a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and Glasgow did his neurosurgical training in the Department of Neurosurgery at North Manchester General Hospital and Booth Hall Children Hospital.

During this period, he obtained a neurosurgery fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Later, he returned to Pakistan and joined the Aga Khan University Hospital as head of the Department of Neurosurgery. In 2008 Dr. Chishti moved to Dubai and joined Rashid Hospital where he worked for five years.
