Dr Allam Alkowatli

Dr Allam Alkowatli is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist certified by the American Board, holding certifications in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, and Internal Medicine. Additionally, he is licensed by the American Board in Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr Alkowati held the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the American Society of Angiography and Intervention.

Dr Alkowatli has conducted over 5800 diagnostic coronary and peripheral angiographies, along with more than 3800 coronary, carotid, and peripheral arterial interventions over the course of 10 years of practice in the USA.

Dr Alkowatli completed his fellowship in clinical cardiology at the William Beaumont Hospital in 1999, Michigan, one of the top 10 programs in interventional cardiology in the US. His extensive training covered various aspects of cardiology, including cardiac catheterisation, pacemaker implantation, transoesophageal echocardiogram, and nuclear cardiology.

Furthering his expertise, he completed a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Alabama - Birmingham in 2000, specialising in complex coronary, carotid, and peripheral interventions.

Dr Alkowatli boasts an exceptional success rate, consistently achieving optimal vessel patency exceeding 90%, well below the US average for morbidity and mortality during interventions. His proficiency extends to opening total occlusions, with a success rate surpassing 75%.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Dr Alkowatli was honoured with the "Best Physician Award" in 2001 from Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA.
