About Dr Khaled Awad
Dr. Khaled Awad is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Clemenceau Medical Center Dubai. He has more than 20 years of experience in leading hospitals and is among the few cardiologists worldwide to hold three simultaneous board certifications: the German and European Board of Interventional Cardiology, the German and European Board of Electrophysiology, and the German and European Board of Heart Device Therapy.
He specialises in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and cardiac device therapy. His expertise includes complex percutaneous coronary interventions, coronary physiology using advanced technologies, ablation of supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, and cardiac resynchronisation therapy with physiologic conduction system pacing. He also provides heart failure management through device-based and guideline-directed medical therapy, as well as vascular ultrasound and imaging of the carotid and peripheral arteries.
Dr. Awad has contributed to the implementation of advanced technologies in pacemaker implantation, including physiologic conduction system pacing at the left bundle branch, a technique performed at only a few centres worldwide. He is actively involved in research, with several publications in peer-reviewed journals, and serves as a reviewer for international and German medical journals. He is a professional member of the German Cardiac Society, the European Society of Cardiology, and the European Heart Rhythm Association.
He is fluent in Arabic, English, French, German, Russian, and Turkish.
