Dr Khaled Awad is a well experienced Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at Clemenceau Medical Center Hospital.

Dr Awad is certified by both the German and European Boards of Interventional Cardiology, the German and European Boards of Electrophysiology, and the German and European Boards of Heart Device Therapy. 

As an Electrophysiologist, Dr Awad is skilled in performing a diverse range of ablations, often employing near-zero fluoroscopy techniques for increased patient safety. His expertise include the treatment of various arrhythmias, including supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias such as tachycardias and extrasystoles.

Dr Awad's practice includes a wide range of advanced treatments, including:

• Complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs)
• Coroventis (Abbott)
• Closure of left atrial appendage (LAA) and patent foramen ovale (PFO)
• Implantation of diverse pacemakers and defibrillators
• Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy (CRT) and pacing at the physiologic conducting system (LBB-P, LVS-P)
• Evidence-based heart failure treatment encompassing medical and device therapies, including impedance measurement of lung fluid
• State-of-the-art venous and arterial duplex and ultrasound examinations

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Awad has published several papers to both German and international medical journals. He is also actively involved as a peer reviewer.
