Dr Yvette Ius

Dr Yvette Ius is a highly qualified Gynaecologist and Gynaecological Oncologist who is dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare to women. With a focus on dignity, respect, and mutual trust, she offers comprehensive care for a wide range of gynaecological concerns. Dr Ius is widely recognised for her advanced surgical skills, particularly in minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures, making her a trusted specialist for both routine and complex cases.

Her clinical practice encompasses general gynaecology as well as the highly specialised field of gynaecological oncology. Dr Ius provides expert management for conditions such as endometriosis, uterine polyps, pelvic pain, and menstrual disorders, alongside contraceptive advice and sexual health support. As a Gynaecological Oncologist, she is also uniquely equipped to treat cancers of the female reproductive system, including ovarian, cervical, uterine, and vulval cancers, ensuring that patients facing complex diagnoses receive compassionate and advanced surgical care.

Dr Ius completed her Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Newcastle in 2005. She went on to achieve Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2015, subsequently obtaining her Certificate in Gynaecological Oncology in 2018. Committed to advancing her field, she is a member of the Australian Society of Gynaecology Oncology, the Hunter New England Gynaecological Cancer Multi-disciplinary Team, and the Hunter Medical Research Institute. Additionally, she contributes to the education of future medical professionals as a Lecturer and Examiner at the University of Newcastle.
