Dr Yashwant Sinha

Dr Yashwant Sinha is a highly dedicated General Paediatrician and Clinical Pharmacologist who is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for infants, children, and adolescents. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, she works closely with families, teachers, and therapists to coordinate holistic care plans tailored to each child's unique needs. Her clinical practice encompasses a broad range of general paediatric concerns, with a particular focus on supporting children and families navigating developmental and behavioural challenges.

Dr Sinha completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours. She went on to complete her specialist paediatric and clinical pharmacology training across several leading tertiary paediatric hospitals in Sydney and Melbourne. Demonstrating a deep commitment to academic excellence and research, she was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Sydney in 2013, focusing on paediatric medicines, evidence, and policy. She also holds a Diploma in Child Health and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Sinha is actively involved in the wider medical community. She is a member of the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Paediatric Society of Australasia, the Australasian Society of Clinical and Experimental Pharmacologists and Toxicologists, and serves on the editorial committee for the Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health. Her research contributions have been published both locally and internationally, covering topics such as complementary therapies for Autism Spectrum Disorder, the quality use of medicines in children, and paediatric drug policy. She also maintains a keen interest in child vaccination and immunisation programmes.
