Dr Odd Anell graduated with his medical degree from the University of Western Australia in 1981. Following his graduation, he gained diverse clinical experience working across various medical disciplines, including emergency medicine, psychiatry, orthopaedics, surgery, and general medicine. He also served in the Royal Australian Air Force, where he developed specialised expertise in aviation medicine, trauma, and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) care. His professional journey further includes working as a rural General Practitioner, which allowed him to broaden his skills in obstetrics, gynaecology, anaesthetics, rehabilitation medicine, and paediatrics.

Throughout his career, Dr Odd Anell has developed a wide range of clinical interests within family medicine. He is particularly passionate about men's health, paediatrics, travel medicine, and diving medicine.
