Dr Wayne Childs is a highly qualified and dedicated Cardiologist based in Ballarat Central, Australia. With a strong focus on non-invasive diagnostics, Dr Childs utilises advanced imaging techniques to assess and manage various cardiovascular conditions. His clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of diagnostic procedures, including echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and transoesophageal echocardiography. Additionally, he is highly skilled in CT coronary angiography, allowing for detailed evaluation of the heart's structure and blood vessels. Through these advanced modalities, Dr Childs is able to provide accurate assessments for patients experiencing heart-related concerns.

Dr Childs obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from Monash University in 2002. He completed his internship and medical residency at a major hospital in Geelong, followed by general medical and advanced training in cardiology through a health service in Melbourne. In 2014, he completed a specialised fellowship in non-invasive imaging, gaining advanced training in echocardiography and cardiac CT, and undertook clinical research at prominent cardiac and research centres. Dr Childs is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (FCSANZ). He is also recognised as a Level A CTCA Specialist by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR).
