Dr Warren Weightman

Dr Warren Weightman is a highly respected Consultant Dermatologist who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, he manages both medical and surgical dermatological concerns. His clinical focus encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Dr Weightman is dedicated to delivering personalised treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr Weightman has held significant leadership roles within the medical community, including serving as President and Chief Examiner of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. He has also contributed to the advancement of dermatology as the Head of the Department of Dermatology at a major public hospital and as a Senior Lecturer at a prominent university. Dr Weightman remains actively involved in clinical research, with a particular focus on investigating topical therapies for actinic keratoses and superficial basal cell cancers, as well as exploring biologic treatments for psoriasis and therapies for rosacea.

Dr Weightman completed his medical degree, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, and subsequently undertook extensive specialist training. He became a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 1995. In addition, he holds fellowships with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and he is an active Member of the Australasian Society of Dermatology Research. His early medical career included valuable service as a General Practitioner in remote regions, providing him with a broad and compassionate perspective on patient care.
