Dr Wai-Ee Thai

Dr Wai-Ee Thai is a highly dedicated and reassuring Cardiologist who specialises in general cardiology and non-invasive cardiac imaging. With a patient-centred approach, she is committed to providing comprehensive and streamlined cardiac care. Dr Thai has a particular clinical interest in heart failure management and advanced cardiovascular imaging, helping patients navigate complex cardiac conditions with clarity and empathy.

Dr Thai graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from Monash University in 2000. Following her primary medical degree, she completed her advanced cardiology training and further specialist training in echocardiography. To further refine her expertise, she undertook a post-doctoral non-invasive cardiac imaging and research fellowship in cardiac computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at a leading medical institution in Boston, USA. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (FCSANZ).

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Thai is actively involved in cardiovascular research, focusing on the utilisation of non-invasive cardiac imaging techniques to assess myocardial structure and function. She has presented her findings at both national and international scientific conferences and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed cardiology and radiology journals. Her dedication to research ensures that her patients receive evidence-based care that aligns with the latest advancements in cardiac medicine.
