Dr. Vani Prasad

Dr Vani Prasad is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon specialising in Craniofacial Surgery and Lymphoedema Surgery. He currently practices privately at Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Melbourne.

Dr Prasad obtained his medical degree in 1996 from the University of Health Science, India and later completed his specialist training in plastic surgery in both Australia and New Zealand. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2016. He later trained in Craniomaxillofacial Surgery for two years at the renowned Australian Craniofacial Unit and in New Zealand and The Netherlands.

He also completed fellowship training in Microsurgery in Canada and a further fellowship in Lymphoedema Supermicrosurgery at the National Centre for Global Health and Medicine in Japan.

Dr Prasad is also passionate about providing healthcare internationally and is a volunteer surgeon at hospitals in East Timor and Indonesia through the Overseas Specialist Surgical Association of Australia.
