Dr Tristan Madden

Dr Tristan Madden is a highly qualified Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who provides comprehensive care for conditions affecting the mouth, face, teeth, and jaws. He is dually qualified in both Medicine and Dentistry, allowing him to offer a unique and highly specialised perspective on complex surgical cases. Dr Madden is dedicated to delivering personalised, patient-centred care in a reassuring and professional environment, ensuring that each patient feels fully supported throughout their treatment journey.

Dr Madden began his academic journey by completing a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago in New Zealand, where he graduated with Distinction and was awarded the Gold Medal for excellence in Clinical Dentistry in 1997. He subsequently pursued medical training and was awarded a Postgraduate Clinical Diploma in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Melbourne, School of Dentistry in 2008. Dr Madden achieved his Specialist Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (OMS) in 2010. To further refine his expertise, he completed two prestigious post-surgical clinical fellowships focusing on corrective jaw surgery and cranio-maxillofacial trauma, training at major trauma centres in Melbourne and London.

In his clinical practice, Dr Madden manages the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has particular expertise in orthognathic (jaw) surgery to correct dento-facial deformities and manage obstructive sleep apnoea. His clinical interests also encompass the treatment of cranio-maxillofacial trauma, the placement of dental implants for single-tooth and full-mouth rehabilitation, and complex bone grafting and sinus lift procedures. Additionally, he routinely performs minor oral surgery, including the removal of wisdom teeth and the management of oral pathology, utilising contemporary techniques to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
