Dr Thuy Dinh

Dr Thuy Dinh is a highly dedicated and compassionate Consultant Gastroenterologist who is committed to providing exceptional patient-centred care. Arriving in Australia as a teenager, he pursued his passion for medicine with determination, developing a philosophy centred on patient empowerment and active involvement in chronic disease management. Dr Dinh strongly believes in giving patients choices and encouraging them to take an active role in their healthcare journeys, which consistently leads to improved clinical outcomes. Dr Dinh completed his medical education at the University of Melbourne, where he excelled academically. Following his graduation, he completed several years of internship and residency at a major metropolitan hospital, gaining comprehensive clinical exposure. He then undertook advanced specialist training in gastroenterology. Dr Dinh successfully passed all his post-graduate examinations on his first attempt and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2007. His extensive training included rotations through various medical and surgical specialities, including intensive care, liver and abdominal trauma surgery, infectious diseases, and neurosurgery, providing him with a deep understanding of the complex interplay between the medical and surgical aspects of digestive health.

In his clinical practice, Dr Dinh focuses on the comprehensive diagnosis and management of a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders. He has a particular interest in bowel cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, and the management of chronic conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome and coeliac disease. Utilising advanced endoscopic techniques, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and capsule endoscopy, he ensures precise assessments and minimally invasive treatments.
