Dr Thomas Wellings

Dr Thomas Wellings is a highly accomplished Consultant Neurologist who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of neurological conditions. Based in Broadmeadow, he is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care. Dr Wellings has a broad clinical focus that encompasses general neurology, with a particular interest in diagnosing and managing complex disorders of the nervous system. Throughout his career, Dr Wellings has developed extensive expertise in managing diverse neurological presentations. His clinical interests include stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, and movement disorders. He also specialises in neuromuscular disorders, neuroimmunology, headaches, and disorders of eye movement. Additionally, Dr Wellings has a specialised interest in vestibular disorders, including the diagnosis and management of vestibular migraine and other complex dizzy disorders, helping patients find relief from debilitating symptoms.

Dr Wellings completed his medical education at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours in 2003. He subsequently earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. In 2008, he was awarded the prestigious College Medal for the outstanding performance in the written and clinical examinations. Dr Wellings completed his advanced training in Neurology at several leading tertiary and teaching hospitals in Australia, followed by a prestigious international fellowship in London.
