Dr Suvarna Chavan

Dr Suvarna Chavan is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a broad clinical background, she is committed to supporting patients of all ages and backgrounds. Dr Chavan enjoys all aspects of family medicine, bringing a wealth of knowledge and a reassuring approach to her daily consultations. She is particularly passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare that is tailored to the unique needs of each individual.

Throughout her career, Dr Chavan has developed key areas of clinical interest, with a strong focus on Women's Health, Children's Health, and care for the elderly. Her expertise in Women's Health encompasses antenatal and postnatal care, breast checks, cervical screening, and menopause management, as well as procedures such as intrauterine device (IUD) and Implanon insertions and removals. Additionally, she is highly skilled in chronic disease management, particularly diabetes care, and is passionate about mental health support, skin checks, travel medicine, and performing iron and vitamin infusions.

Dr Chavan completed her medical training in India, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1991, followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 1996. After establishing a successful career as an Anaesthetist Specialist and Women's Health Specialist, she relocated to Australia. She attained her Australian Medical Council (AMC) Certificate in 2015 and holds a Fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
