Dr Waseema Tabassum

Dr. Waseema Tabassum is a highly skilled General Practitioner dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services with a focus on women's and children's health. Dr. Tabassum graduated in 2009 and has since gained extensive experience working in various hospitals across Victoria, including Western Health, Ballarat Health, and obstetrics and gynaecology at Werribee Mercy Hospital.

She commenced her general practice training through the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) Program in 2019 and has practised in Warragal and Moe in Eastern Victoria. Dr. Tabassum received her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in February 2021 and continues to pursue further training in women's health, Mirena contraception, and skin cancer medicine.

With a strong commitment to patient care, Dr. Tabassum's areas of interest include women's and children's health, sexual and reproductive health, pregnancy care, mental health, chronic disease management (including diabetes, asthma, cancer, and osteoarthritis), and skin cancer. She is proficient in various procedures, including Implanon insertion and removal, Mirena insertion and removal, iron infusions, and pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV prevention.
