Dr Sina Alexander

Dr Sina Alexander is a highly qualified Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist based in Geelong, Australia. He is dedicated to providing evidence-based, compassionate care that is tailored to the individual needs of his patients. Dr Alexander strongly believes in the importance of fostering open, clear communication, ensuring that patients are fully informed and comfortable throughout their treatment journey. His clinical practice encompasses a broad range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders, with a particular focus on delivering high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

Dr Alexander completed his medical education at Monash University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1998. Following his undergraduate studies, he undertook extensive postgraduate training in gastroenterology, ultimately achieving fellowship status as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). In addition to his clinical work, Dr Alexander is actively involved in medical education and clinical research. He serves as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at a local university, where he contributes to the training of future medical professionals, and he has published numerous research papers in leading national and international medical journals.

With a comprehensive range of clinical interests, Dr Alexander specialises in colorectal cancer prevention, inflammatory bowel disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, and coeliac disease. He has undertaken advanced training in the management of complex pre-malignant and early mucosal malignancies throughout the gastrointestinal tract, as well as palliative stenting for advanced cancers. As an experienced Interventional Endoscopist, he regularly performs advanced procedures such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR). Dr Alexander is deeply committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in endoscopy, focusing on key outcome measures to ensure the best possible results for his patients.
