About Mr Liang Low
Mr Liang Low is a General and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon based in Melbourne. He consults at the Specialist Surgical Centre in Mt Waverley, Cabrini Brighton, and Complete Weight Loss Solutions in Hawthorn East. He performs a wide range of advanced keyhole and general surgical procedures, with particular expertise in bariatric surgery for weight management. At Cabrini Malvern and Complete Weight Loss Solutions, he carries out bariatric procedures including gastric sleeve and bypass surgery, focusing on patient safety, evidence-based care and long-term support.
Mr Low is a founding member of the Australia and New Zealand Gastro-Oesophageal Surgical Association and has been a former executive member of the Victorian State Commitee for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He graduated from Monash University and completed his general surgical fellowship before undertaking post-fellowship training in Oxford, United Kingdom, where he was the Fellow in Oesophago-Gastric Surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
He has an established practice an remains passionate about patient care, outcomes and teaching future generations of surgeons.

Have someone explaining what some painkillers can do to you would be beneficial to the patients. Bedside visits did seem somewhat rushed at times. And being heavily medicated whilst being spoken to made it difficult to follow what was happening.
Initial examination through to booking surgery then recovery and follow-up was all managed very efficiently - quicker than I expected.

When I first met Mr Low I was unsure about having surgery but after he explained everything to me I felt reassured and decided to go ahead with the surgery on my hiatus hernia. Mr Low and his team made this process so easy as they were very caring and made me feel at ease prior to surgery and throughout my after surgery care. Mr Low explained and answered all of my questions regarding the procedure. I am now glad I had this done. Thank you Mr Low.
As far as hernia surgery goes what a great experience! Liang was personable and informative from the very first consult to the follow up post operation. Just a genuinely nice guy and remarkable surgeon. I also have to mention Pam from his office who one of the nicest ladies I’ve dealt with, a beautiful human being and nothing was too much trouble for her. Surgery went well and Liang called my wife as soon as it was done and kept her informed. Recovery has been a breeze so I can only assume he was gentle in there. Cannot recommend Liang and his team highly enough ! Thanks
