Dr Simon Ghaly

Dr Simon Ghaly is a highly regarded Gastroenterologist based in Sydney, Australia, who specialises in the management of complex digestive health conditions. With a primary clinical focus on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, he is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. Dr Ghaly graduated with honours from the University of New South Wales, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Science (Medicine). He completed his basic training as a Physician and specialist training as a Gastroenterologist at several leading teaching hospitals in Sydney. Following this, he undertook a prestigious clinical and research fellowship at a dedicated centre for inflammatory bowel disease in Western Australia, where he completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) investigating the role of vitamin D and ultraviolet radiation on the gut microbiome and immune system.
