Dr Simon Gatehouse

Dr Simon Gatehouse is a highly qualified Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in adult and paediatric spinal surgery. Based in Auchenflower, Australia, he provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of spinal disorders. Dr Gatehouse is dedicated to delivering patient-centred care, ensuring that individuals are fully informed about their treatment options, whether they require conservative management or complex surgical intervention. Dr Gatehouse remains actively involved in research and education, sharing his knowledge as a Senior Lecturer and participating in the training of both local Registrars and international Spinal Surgeons.

Dr Gatehouse completed his medical education at The University of Queensland, graduating in 1996. He completed his specialist surgical training in 2005, subsequently obtaining a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. To further refine his skills, he undertook a post-graduate sub-specialty fellowship in the United Kingdom, focusing on advanced techniques in adult and paediatric spinal surgery. Dr Gatehouse has also successfully completed the United States Medical Licensing Examinations and holds full medical registration in the United Kingdom. He is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Spine Society of Australia, the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, the Australian Orthopaedic Association, and the Australian Medical Association.
