Dr Shivonne Prasad

Dr Shivonne Prasad is a highly qualified Respiratory and Sleep Physician who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. Specialising in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of lung and sleep disorders, Dr Prasad is committed to helping patients achieve optimal respiratory health and improved quality of life. Dr Prasad obtained her medical degree, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, from the University of Auckland. She completed her Basic Physician Training in Melbourne, followed by advanced Specialist training in respiratory and sleep medicine across several major metropolitan health services. She was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2016. Committed to academic excellence, she also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education, a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a Certificate in Clinical Occupational Medicine from Monash University. To further her expertise, she completed a prestigious clinical and research fellowship in occupational lung disease at leading international hospitals in Canada.

With extensive training both locally and internationally, Dr Prasad has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. As an experienced Respiratory and Sleep Physician, she is particularly expert in managing complex conditions such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, and sleep disorders. Her specialised training in Canada has also given her deep expertise in occupational lung disease, allowing her to provide precise diagnoses and management plans for work-related respiratory illnesses.
