Dr Sharon Krause

Dr Sharon Krause is a highly dedicated and compassionate Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrician based in Brisbane, Queensland. She specialises in supporting children and their families through a wide range of developmental, behavioural, and learning challenges. With a patient-centred and reassuring approach, Dr Krause is committed to providing comprehensive care that addresses the unique needs of each child, helping them reach their full potential.

Her clinical practice focuses on neurodevelopment and the assessment and management of autism spectrum presentations, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Asperger's Syndrome. Dr Krause is skilled in the administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) to ensure accurate diagnoses. Additionally, she provides expert care for children experiencing Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), cognitive challenges, intellectual impairment, global developmental delay, and general learning and attention difficulties. Her holistic approach also extends to early childhood development, anxiety management, sensory processing difficulties, parenting support, and sleep issues.

Dr Krause completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy in 1997 before pursuing her medical training at the University of Queensland, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2002. She went on to complete her specialist training, obtaining a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2012. In the same year, she achieved her subspeciality qualification in Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics through the Chapter of Community Child Health and earned a Master of Public Health. She is a member of professional bodies including the Australasian Society for Developmental Paediatrics.
