Dr Shamil Cooray

Dr Cooray is a Physician with specialist expertise in Adult Endocrinology. Dr Cooray graduated from Monash University and undertook specialist training at The Alfred Hospital, the University Hospital Geelong and Monash Health. Dr Cooray was conferred Fellowship of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Dr Cooray was awarded a PhD from Monash University for their thesis on gestational diabetes, clinical prediction modelling and risk-stratified treatment. This research was supported by scholarships from the National Health and Medical Research Council, the Australian Academy of Science and Diabetes Australia.

Dr Cooray is a Research Fellow at the Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation (MCHRI), School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University, in partnership with Monash Health.
