Dr. Namboodiri completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in Nashik, India. She then made her way to Australia, where she undertook professional training. She completed her Basic Physician Training at Nepean Hospital and subsequently pursued specialty training in Endocrinology at various hospitals, including Macquarie University Hospital, Blacktown Hospital, and Liverpool Hospital.
Currently, Dr. Namboodiri serves as an Endocrinologist with Western Sydney Diabetes. Additionally, she holds appointments as an Endocrinologist at Macquarie University Hospital, where she actively engages in medical student teaching as part of Macquarie University's MD Program.
Dr. Namboodiri has expertise in all aspects of Endocrinology, including the management of Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, thyroid and pituitary disorders, osteoporosis, and obesity/metabolic health. She is involved in clinical trials and research projects at Macquarie University Hospital. Dr. Namboodiri has a special interest in the management of Type 1 Diabetes and Thyroid disorders.
