Dr Shalini Arunogiri

Dr Arunogiri is a Psychiatrist with specialist qualifications in addiction psychiatry. They are passionate about providing care for patients and their families who are living with addiction and related mental health concerns.

Dr Arunogiri believes in a holistic approach to addiction management, recognising the importance of understanding the individual and their personal circumstances. This ensures that treatment can address both the addiction and any underlying issues, such as trauma or co-occurring mental health disorders. Dr Arunogiri prioritises listening to their patients and their support systems, tailoring care to meet their specific needs.

They graduated with first class honours from Monash University, Melbourne in 2006. Dr Arunogiri completed their training as a Psychiatrist through Turning Point, Melbourne, a Victorian state-wide centre of excellence in addiction treatment. They hold a PhD in Psychiatry from Monash University, where their research focused on methamphetamine psychosis, including risk factors and cognitive correlates of this disorder.
