Dr. Seyedshahabedin Mohammadmakki

Dr Seyedshahabedin Mohammadmakki, also known clinically as Dr Shahab Makki, is a highly dedicated and reassuring Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Physician. He specialises in diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of respiratory, sleep, and general medical conditions. With a patient-centred approach, Dr Mohammadmakki is committed to delivering comprehensive care to individuals experiencing complex lung and sleep disorders. His clinical focus encompasses the management of complicated and critically ill patients, as well as the precise execution of advanced pulmonary procedures.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr Mohammadmakki has accumulated vast clinical expertise across various healthcare settings. Following his initial training, he worked as a Senior Lecturer at a leading respiratory tertiary centre, where he focused on the management of lung transplant patients while teaching and supervising medical students and junior doctors. He also gained significant experience in intensive care unit environments. Since relocating to Australia, he has provided high-quality care in general medicine, respiratory medicine, and sleep medicine at several regional and metropolitan hospitals across Queensland, the Northern Territory, and Victoria.

Dr Mohammadmakki obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the Arak University of Medical Sciences in 1998. He subsequently completed his advanced specialty training in respiratory medicine in 2009. Demonstrating his commitment to the highest standards of medical practice, he is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). He is also fully registered as a specialist in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine with the national medical board.
